About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at N&M Produce Ltd. as a key member of our retail operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, assigning duties and tasks to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Price and Credit Policies: Implement and manage price and credit policies to optimize sales and revenue.
  • Inventory Management: Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
  • Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints, requests, and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Retail business.
  • Transportation/Travel: Own transportation, public transportation available.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
