About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at K & C Ramsay's Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • Experience in carpentry or a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty environments
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
