BELFOR Restoration is seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our team.

We are a growing company that values integrity, loyalty, and commitment to our customers. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will be responsible for supporting our team with all aspects of finished carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of hand and power tools, including temporary generators, ladders, table saws, routers, and sanding equipment.
  • Erecting and disassembling scaffolding.
  • Assisting with demolition and debris disposal.
  • Preparing material take-offs and reading blueprints.
  • Setting up and taking down poly containment and drop sheets.
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction math.
  • Advanced experience in installation of insulation and vapor barrier.
  • Advanced experience in wood and steel stud framing application.
  • Advanced experience in finish carpentry skills, including cutting and installing wood framing, trim, baseboard, casing, window/doors, frames, drywall/mud/tape/finish coat, painting, and sheathing.
  • Securing exterior building materials (roofing and siding) when required.
  • Constructing and securing temporary and permanent partitions.
  • Working under time constraints to meet specific timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Red Seal Certification Required.
  • 4+ years of experience in the field.
  • Construction/Restoration/Insurance experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy.
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience.
  • Self-driven to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to work evenings, on call, and weekends when requested.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Criminal Record Check.
