Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the VP of Broadband Access Product Line Management. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for our broadband access solution and portfolio, including overall P&L ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the broadband access solution and portfolio, aligning with key corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the entire product and solution life cycle, from conception to end-of-life, leading and mentoring cross-functional teams in the development, launch, and management of products.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and the competitive landscape, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure solution success.
  • Manage product pricing and positioning strategies, ensuring products meet both quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on product performance and customer feedback.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Represent Ciena at relevant trade shows, marketing events, and speaking engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in senior product management roles with direct experience in Broadband technologies, including Routing, Switching, PON, and BNG.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product line management principles and practices.
