About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Arabella Retirement Living. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care and Support: Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure the comfort and well-being of our residents.
  • Medical Support: Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and assist with the administration of first aid in emergency situations.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe environment by making beds, cleaning, and sterilizing medical equipment, and performing other duties related to patient care and comfort.
  • Transportation and Communication: Transport patients between care facilities and answer call signals to determine residents' needs.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Work Environment

This is a temporary, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work environment is a nursing home/home for the aged, and the primary language spoken is English.
