Job Summary

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on roofing techniques and best practices
  • Work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors, with varying work site conditions
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in roofing or a related field
  • Excellent physical stamina, with ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Dependability, excellent oral and written communication skills, and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime required at times
Working Conditions

Flynn Canada Ltd. offers a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package, as per collective agreement. The work schedule is 30 to 40 hours per week, with the option to work overtime as needed. The language of work is English or French, and the work environment is varied, with opportunities to work on different types of roofing projects.
