Water Resources Engineering Trainee

MPE Engineering Ltd. is looking for a Water Resources Engineering Intern with 0-2 years of relevant experience to become a part of our dynamic team.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution, with a focus on water resources. Familiarity with water resources design software such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is essential; knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS will be considered a valuable asset.
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- A demonstrated understanding of general construction practices.
- A valid Class G Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for potential out-of-town assignments.
- Self-driven individual with strong leadership qualities, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in various engineering tasks under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist.
- Develop and evaluate hydrology and hydraulic models.
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
- Engage in construction administration and oversee general construction activities.
- Collaborate closely with clients to ensure their project goals are achieved.
