This is an exciting opportunity for a Relief part-time Nursing Unit Clerk to join the team at Kelowna General Hospital. The successful candidate will work rotating days and evenings, providing administrative support to the patient care area.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize, process, and coordinate physicians' orders, as well as act as a communication link for the unit. They will also be responsible for scheduling, booking, and coordinating patient appointments, assembling and maintaining patient charts, and performing various clerical duties such as data entry and filing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a Grade 12 education, a current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater, and a Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate. They must also have one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
