We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Peace Janitorial Services Ltd. as a permanent employee.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to help management make informed business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, including tax returns and financial reporting.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 35-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be bondable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Language and Work EnvironmentThe primary language of work is English. Public transportation is available for those who need it.
