Requirements

  • Valid Chief Mate, Near Coastal Certificate or higher

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable navigating equipment and techniques
  • Considerable knowledge of corporate policies and procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of international, federal and provincial regulations
  • Considerable knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of ship handling principles, stability, seamanship and deck maintenance
