Clinical Laboratory Technician II

Under the guidance of the Chief Technologist or their delegate, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for specimen collection, preparation, and analysis, as well as performing various clerical and supportive laboratory tasks.
The role includes conducting inpatient and/or outpatient Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing and Holter monitor assessments as necessary, while also providing clear explanations of the testing procedures. Routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment are also part of the responsibilities.
Work Schedule:
Days and Evenings, with shifts from 06:30 to 14:30, 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, and 12:00 to 20:00 (ROTATING)
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 and a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program, along with one (1) year of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with others.
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Competence in operating related equipment.
- Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
