LOCATION
Situated approximately 100 kilometers east of Toronto, NHH is a dynamic community hospital offering a wide array of acute, post-acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services. We serve a growing population of over 60,000 residents across diverse urban and rural environments, employing around 750 staff members and benefiting from a supportive network of physicians, midwives, and volunteers.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and accountable to the Chief Radiologist, the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) will be tasked with conducting radiographic examinations, which may encompass routine general radiographic procedures, interventional procedures, and mobile X-ray tasks. The Technologist is expected to exercise independent judgment while executing these responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be required to work shifts that include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
The applicant must hold registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) Recent relevant experience in a hospital environment is essential Previous experience with EPIC is preferred Ability to stand and walk for extended periods is necessary. Professional and appropriate responses in high-stress and emergency situations are required.EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, completed within the last year from the date of hire. This requirement must be fulfilled within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
Additionally, successful candidates are required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, which includes submitting an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Northumberland Hills Hospital enforces a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Northumberland Hills Hospital may opt to conduct parts or all of the hiring process virtually.
