Mobile Software Engineer II

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Software Developer II to be part of the Consumer Group Design System team at Intuit Inc. This team is dedicated to the development and upkeep of a comprehensive design system for both Web and Mobile platforms, facilitating tax preparation solutions utilized by millions of consumers annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mobile software, encompassing requirements gathering, design, coding, and documentation.
  • Engage in hands-on coding approximately 80-95% of the time.
  • Participate in early quality assurance activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code.
  • Address and resolve defects or bugs during various testing phases, including QA, pre-production, and post-release.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project commitments.
  • Work cross-functionally with diverse Intuit teams, including product management and QA/QE, to achieve results.
  • Foster a commitment to team success and maintain positive team dynamics.
  • Demonstrate a passion for developing and applying technical skills to enhance customer service.
  • Utilize Agile Development methodologies, including SCRUM and Extreme Programming.
  • Possess a BS/MS in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in mobile application development.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of software engineering principles and their practical application.
  • Experience with programming languages such as React Native and JavaScript is preferred.
  • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and unit testing, including Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Show a self-starter attitude with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Maintain a helpful, proactive attitude and take ownership of challenges.
  • Display a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering on assigned tasks.
  • Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate exceptional partnership skills.
