Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our team at Elements Casino Victoria. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for executing menu item production with an emphasis on quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, pre-cook, cook, and present menu items in a timely fashion, following standardized recipes.
  • Prepare mis en place and other products as required for high-volume production.
  • Assist 3rd Cooks with product receipts, breakdown, storage, and rotation.
  • Clean culinary equipment after use and/or remove soiled equipment to the dish pit.
  • Assist with month-end inventories as directed.
  • Attend monthly culinary meetings.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments.
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive culinary experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, and creative.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Safe Level 1 and Serving it Right License certifications.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Work Environment
  • Regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending.
