About the Role

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher-tutor to join our team at our Burquitlam location.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic ECE teacher-tutor to work with our younger students in our Little Readers program. As an Interactive Coach, you will be responsible for teaching letter names, sounds, phonics, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and fine motor skills to students aged 3-6.

Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 5 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
  • ECE certificate is considered as an asset
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position working afternoons, Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings (if possible). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better.
