Key Responsibilities- Program Planning: Develop and implement engaging and educational programs for school-age youth, ensuring alignment with quality standards, child protection requirements, and provincial regulations.
- Program Delivery: Deliver hands-on program activities, providing a safe and inclusive environment for participants, and ensuring program outcomes are met.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, supporting child development and addressing individual needs.
- Program Administration: Complete program documentation, administrative tasks, and reporting, ensuring efficient program delivery and compliance with YMCA and provincial requirements.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent, with a strong reference.
- Experience: 0-2 years of childcare experience, with demonstrable evidence of experience linked to the role's responsibilities.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and meet multiple deadlines.
- Qualifications: Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License or access to reliable transportation, flexibility to work outside regular hours, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
