We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Talent and Culture to join our team at CharityVillage. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and engage top talent, while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to human resources, talent management, and culture.
    • Provide guidance and support to senior leaders and managers on talent management and culture-related matters.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Program Management
    • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to attract, retain, and engage top talent.
    • Manage the development and implementation of learning and development programs, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Oversee the management of employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and employee engagement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention and reduce turnover.
  • Service Delivery
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers on human resources, talent management, and culture-related matters.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to human resources, talent management, and culture.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of senior leadership experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • CHRL designation preferred, CHRE designation an asset.
  • HRPA registration in good standing.
  • Progressive human resources management experience in a not-for-profit and unionized environment.
  • Ability to represent the employer in collective bargaining.
  • Occupational health and safety certification, health benefit administration, WSIB management, and AODA compliance and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership, knowledge, and expertise in human resources best practices, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams, motivate, and support staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage others.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of integrity and dedication.
