About the Role

Saskatchewan Blue Cross is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our IT Data Solutions department. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop reports that meet their needs.
  • Design and implement data marts to support reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain reports using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Reconcile differences between reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on using the self-service reporting portal.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve data-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Technology or Computer Science with a focus on databases and data analytics.
  • 3-5 years of previous related job experience.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of database fundamentals, including multidimensional database design and relational database design.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities within established deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
