We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to enhance our team

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and enhancement of production workflows for both new and existing projects. This position involves direct engagement with clients and internal production teams to review and validate requirements. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with Sales, Design, and Tooling departments to facilitate DSR activities related to assembly processes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to align with Vuteq's objectives
  • Create process design concepts for new business ventures
  • Apply Kaizen principles to optimize existing production workflows
  • Engage in the development of new programs following the APQP framework
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop parts and manufacturing processes concurrently for streamlined production
  • Work with sales teams to assess the automation level of new processes to meet cost objectives
  • Generate equipment RFQs for engineering and maintenance evaluation
  • Produce prototype components for new initiatives to assess manufacturability
  • Develop process flows, layouts, and standard work with timing and manpower estimates
  • Construct simulations of new processes to evaluate feasibility
  • Design new and existing work cells to meet Vuteq's process development standards
  • Enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost for ongoing programs
  • Formulate standard work with timing and manpower assessments
  • Calculate ROI proposals and present findings to management
  • Collaborate with production staff at all levels to gain insights into current processes and explore new ideas
  • Participate in quoting during the sourcing phase to assist sales in providing competitive pricing
  • Engage in DSR activities to support design and tooling in developing efficient parts.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of a minimum three-year engineering diploma from a recognized institution (mechanical engineering preferred)

Experience

  • Proficiency in CATIA V5, Unigraphics, SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Competence in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of injection molding processes is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of plastics and other automotive materials
  • 2-5 years of experience in engineering product development
