Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Assistant Supervisor Relief to join our team at Sobeys Inc. in Nova Scotia, Canada. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling pharmacy assistants, coordinating workflow, and managing department personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule pharmacy assistants to ensure optimal workflow and customer service
  • Coordinate pharmacy workflow to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Manage department personnel, including scheduling, recruitment, performance management, and training
  • Coach pharmacy assistants to deliver superior customer experience and contribute to a positive and productive working environment
  • Promote PROfile Programs and educate pharmacy assistants
  • Communicate operational requirements and changes to pharmacy support staff
  • Complete monthly reporting and supervise inventory management
  • Process customer transactions, including prescription assembly, refills, and compounding
  • Perform administrative duties, including filing, supplies, and cleaning
  • Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
  • Enter data, manage manual third parties, conduct cycle counts, and perform narcotic counts
  • Receive product orders, manage deliveries, and create drug orders
  • Assemble pill packs and manage BTC and Return to Stock
  • Release prescriptions and ensure compliance with OH&S and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Above-average communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

You will also require:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a pharmacy assistant or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of MS Suite

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technician Certificate, or equivalent recognized program
