Your areas of expertise will encompass individual insurance, group insurance, retirement savings plans, insurance brokerage, segregated funds, and the settlement of life and health insurance claims. You will actively promote and sell financial security products and services to both individual and corporate clients, analyzing their needs to recommend customized solutions.
Effective communication and a deep understanding of clients' expressed needs are essential for success in this role. You will balance sales targets with prudent risk management, profitability, and client satisfaction. Building and maintaining relationships with key clients who have complex and diverse requirements will be a significant part of your responsibilities. The ability to adapt your approach as necessary is vital.
Your complex tasks and initiatives will require extensive knowledge of the insurance sector. You will provide guidance and support to current and prospective clients, representing Desjardins and entering into significant agreements with them. You will also have numerous opportunities to negotiate terms for products and services, making interpersonal skills essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and sell life, health, disability, and critical illness insurance products.
- Evaluate customer satisfaction and service quality, implementing improvements as necessary. Establish and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and analyze high-potential client files.
- Identify business opportunities and present information to partners to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and new products to identify business development opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in French is required.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, including two evenings.
Effective communication skills, interpersonal savvy, and adaptability to various situations are essential for this role.
