Mining Engineering Technology Instructor

Job Summary
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified instructor to teach in the Mining Engineering Technology program. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting program areas of strength, including mine surveying, rock mechanics and ground control, surface and underground mining methods, mine ventilation, mine safety, mine planning, project management, and computer applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum and training materials in accordance with leading industry standards
- Instruct on-campus in classroom and lab settings
- Evaluate students and undertake administrative duties
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Related degree or diploma in mining or geological engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Member of/or eligible for certification with APEGS as a P.Eng. or with TPS as an A.Sc.T.
- Recent/relevant experience (two years in the last five) in the mining sector
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Effective instructional ability
- Demonstrates valuing diversity
