We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential assistance to clients in a comfortable home environment. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require support with daily activities.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
- Non-smoking environment.
- Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis; this is not a condition of employment.
- Provide care for pets as needed.
- Administer bedside and personal care, including medications.
- Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene.
- Support clients in engaging in regular exercise, such as walking.
- Change non-sterile dressings and collect specimens as required.
- Demonstrate infant care techniques to new parents.
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
- Launder clothing and household linens, mend as necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
- Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Engage in repetitive tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- Coverage for paramedical services.
- Work Term: Temporary
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 hours per week
