Job Summary

We are seeking a Knowledge Broker to join our Evidence to Care (EtC) team. The successful candidate will use clear language and creative visuals to develop family or provider-facing resources that maximize health literacy, blending strong communication with design to create engaging, accessible materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with knowledge users to identify knowledge needs and plan synthesis or product development activities tailored to support evidence-informed decision-making.
  • Conduct synthesis activities, generating key outputs such as rapid review reports, annotated bibliographies, and concept catalogs that summarize research findings and present key findings.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge mobilization (KMb) tools, using theories/models/frameworks/and other approaches from knowledge translation/mobilization and related fields.
  • Design visual and written materials that prioritize lay language, making complex information clear and engaging for all users and achieving objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive dissemination plans to ensure spread of KMb products to target audiences.
  • Collaborate with teams and partners to contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of EtC's active projects.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a field relevant to childhood disability/pediatric rehabilitation or health-related discipline.
  • Knowledge mobilization or translation certificate training from a recognized program (e.g., SickKids, Li Ka Shing, The Centre for Implementation) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and supporting both rapid and in-depth evidence reviews, and knowledge of systematic and/or scoping review methodology.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, accessible formats for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in developing knowledge mobilization tools, including infographics, fact sheets, handouts, and other educational resources.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to critically appraise and summarize evidence from a variety of sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in creating materials that convey key messages in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Familiarity with health literacy principles and application in communication strategies is an asset.
  • Proficiency with design tools to build knowledge mobilization tools outputs (i.e., Canva, Piktochart, Adobe) is an asset.
