**Job Summary**

Brandt is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Labourer at our Surrey Construction & Forestry location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the dismantling of construction, forestry, and mining-based heavy equipment and components.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Preparing Equipment: Cleaning parts and components to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Yard Maintenance: Cleaning and organizing the yard to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory maintenance to ensure accurate tracking and storage of equipment and components.
  • Team Support: Assisting other shop personnel in fulfilling their duties and contributing to overall shop productivity.

Required Skills:

  • Safe Work Practices: Demonstrating safe and efficient workplace practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Verbal and Written Instructions: Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Possessing strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment and components as required.

Required Experience:

  • Physical Demands: Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy-duty equipment environment, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Minimal Supervision: Able to work under minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possessing previous mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Forklift Experience: Forklift experience and heavy-duty parts handling considered an asset.
  • Safe Work Practices: Demonstrating safe and efficient workplace practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
