About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Diamond Crete And Construction Inc. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction, renovation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and supervise other workers as needed.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the trade, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices. You will be required to travel to different locations, and a valid driver's licence is essential for this role.

Language and Work Term
