Job Title: Certified Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Nursing & Homemakers Inc.

Job Summary:

The Certified Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our dental team. This includes preparing patients for dental examinations, supervising dental assistants, ordering dental and office supplies, and performing administrative functions for the dental laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Order dental and office supplies to ensure a well-stocked dental practice
  • Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including preparing dental instruments and filling materials
  • Maintain and order supplies to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health
  • Supervise students in training and provide mentorship and support
  • Take and develop X-rays to aid in dental diagnosis and treatment
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate records
  • Invoice patients for dental services and manage patient accounts
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Dental Assistant
  • Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Certification
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and manual dexterity
