Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the design and development of embedded software solutions tailored for connected IoT applications. This role involves leveraging Renesas MCU/MPU hardware capabilities to create efficient low-level firmware.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement embedded system software solutions for IoT applications, focusing on performance and quality.
- Adhere to firmware development best practices and SDLC processes to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to define and execute embedded software projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics/computer engineering or computer science; Master's degree preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers and microprocessors (e.g., Arm Cortex-A, Cortex-M, RX, RL78, MIPS, RISC-V).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system software development or architecture.
- Proficient in C/C++ with a solid understanding of programming methodologies for low-resource devices.
- Experience with Python for automation and scripting tasks.
- Strong foundation in RTOS (FreeRTOS, Azure RTOS) and development of threaded applications.
- Proficient in debugging tools such as gdb, J-Link, Ozone, and protocol analyzers.
- Experience in creating wireless solutions (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/LE, LTE Cat-M1/NB-IoT) with knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT).
- Familiarity with common communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, CAN, etc.).
- Understanding of IoT cloud solutions on platforms like AWS and Azure, including device management and OTA updates.
- Experience with agile CI/CD practices, including project management tools like JIRA and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, including device driver development and Yocto.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex software concepts effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to creatively address engineering and business challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel).
