Job Title: Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Alpha Trans Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Road test motor vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy
  • Test automotive systems and components to identify areas for improvement
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components to ensure the safe operation of our fleet
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service to prevent breakdowns and ensure our fleet is always in good working order
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Own transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
