Job Title: Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Alpha Trans Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with vehicles and want to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues with commercial transport trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Overtime required
  • Standing for extended periods
