Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Planning and Implementation Specialist to lead, plan, coordinate, and implement assigned projects related to the preparation and movement of a specialized clinical program area(s).
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement plans to achieve optimal outcomes and benefits, working closely with clinical and facilities planning teams, including other project leaders and stakeholders.
- Project Coordination and Management: Provide coordination and project management within a strategic change context, overseeing the development and implementation of plans, and ensuring that an optimal structure, design, and implementation of the change(s) is/are in place.
- Day-to-Day Management: Support the day-to-day management of initiatives, complete work for the team, provide progress monitoring and reporting to steering committees, and identify, manage, and mitigate/resolve risks and issues.
- Change Management: Apply change management principles to develop engagement strategies and action plans to maximize the likelihood of success.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage key stakeholder strategies, working closely with designated team and Communications to develop communication strategies.
- Team Structure and Membership: Identify and establish appropriate team structure(s) and membership for initiatives, including sponsorship, champion, clinical working, advisory, or steering committee(s) and delivery and implementation teams.
- Impact Assessment: Assess and articulate the impact of initiatives from a systems perspective, managing the impacts and interdependencies with other initiatives at Fraser Health.
- Project Documentation: Assist in the development of project documentation, such as proposals, charters, work plans, risk management plans, communication plans, etc.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field, Planning or Business Administration. Seven (7) years' recent related clinical operations experience, including planning, project management, and/or organizational transformation, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Working knowledge of change and project management principles, coupled with a strong understanding of the healthcare system and the clinical program being supported.
- Ability to motivate and influence leaders, physicians, and staff at all levels to embrace and take action on transformation initiatives.
- Ability to provide leadership to a variety of project teams in an environment where issues are constantly surfacing and priorities fluctuate routinely as new initiatives enter the portfolio.
- Ability to operate a standard PC and effectively utilize a variety of software applications to support initiative management activities.
