Job Title: Coordinator Planning and Systems Development

Job Summary:

The Coordinator, Planning and Systems Development, plays a critical role in leading, planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating assigned initiatives that facilitate system-wide process improvement. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer of BC Cancer and works closely with senior leadership, management teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the evidence-based planning and design of assigned initiatives, ensuring adherence to systems, practices, policies, and timelines.
  • Determine, develop, and evaluate processes, guidelines, and pathways for assigned initiatives that ensure high-quality patient care, in collaboration with clinical leadership and other areas as required.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation, including action and decision logs, and prepare reports, graphs, tables, briefing notes, presentations, and issue papers.
  • Lead teams to achieve deliverables and meet with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication at all critical stages of initiatives.
  • Provide education about projects to individuals, groups, organizations, and communities as it pertains to successfully completing deliverables.
Requirements:
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of recent, related healthcare experience, including two (2) years' experience in a coordinating/project management and systems development role within a complex health system.

Salary: $88,990-$127,923 per year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part-time roles.

Location: Provincial Position and candidate must be within the vicinity of BC Cancer Centre to work on-site as required.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday; 0830-1630
