Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada West Equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and planting.
  • Labour and Materials Planning: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including logs and reports.
  • Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts for services and materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion:
  • Accessibility: Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, and visual and auditory accessibility accommodations, such as braille and transcription software.
  • Mentorship and Training: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for employees with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees, as well as Veterans and Indigenous people.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
