Position Overview

The role of the Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator at 600956 Ontario Ltd. involves overseeing the operation of machinery used in the production of plastic products. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Work Environment
  • Conditions: The work environment is characterized by high temperatures and noise levels.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments on machinery.
  • Accurately weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals as per established formulas.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of produced materials.
  • Operate mixing machinery to achieve specific consistency and viscosity of plastics.
  • Set up and operate multiple moulding machines for plastic product creation.
  • Adhere to formulation cards for mixing resin batches in the injection moulding process.
  • Organize and manage inventory effectively.
  • Utilize computer numerical control (CNC) machines as required.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
