Course DetailsThe successful candidate will lead the course in developing students' skills around writing clear and organized correspondence, common workplace documents such as reports and proposals, and job-search related documents such as cover letters and resumes.
Responsibilities- Teach CMNS 100 Introduction to Workplace Communication to various Capilano University students
- Develop students' skills in writing clear and organized correspondence, common workplace documents, and job-search related documents
- Mentor students from a wide range of backgrounds
- Masters degree in Communications, Publishing, English or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience working in media, journalism, communications or related industries
- Post-secondary teaching experience with the ability to foster a classroom environment that provides a supportive learning setting for students from diverse populations and circumstances
- Experience/knowledge of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in an educational practice and environment
- PhD. in Communication or related discipline and/or, five years of relevant professional experience in a field related to communication
- Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PDIP), Certification in University Teaching, or Credential
- Experience in online teaching or equivalent
- Lived Indigenous experience to enhance learning in the classrooms
