Your Role

BDO Lixar is seeking an Azure Solution Architect to enhance their expanding team, with the flexibility to work remotely across Canada. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

Architect, develop, and deploy Azure cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with architects to design and create robust, efficient, and maintainable cloud solutions, adhering to architectural standards and best practices. Take ownership of the complete delivery of cloud solutions, ensuring they fulfill or surpass business requirements, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks. Create and maintain documentation for cloud solution designs, development methodologies, and best practices. Stay updated with the latest advancements in Azure and Microsoft technologies, integrating new tools and technologies into the development workflow as needed. Support the estimation and planning of development tasks, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, and operations, to guarantee seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.

Your Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience in cloud solution development, with a strong emphasis on Azure and Microsoft technologies. Profound knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service. Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, and PowerShell. Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform. Understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection. Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in an Agile development environment, with a solid grasp of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies. Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are advantageous. Experience interacting with customers and external users. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels within the organization. Excellent time management abilities, adept at managing multiple projects with defined deadlines and schedules. Keen attention to detail and quality in work delivered.
