About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Massage Therapist to join our team at Performance Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage therapy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Treatment
    • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify areas of tension and pain
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address client needs
  • Massage Therapy Techniques
    • Administer a range of massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, and trigger point therapy
    • Use finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body to promote relaxation and reduce pain
  • Communication and Record-Keeping
    • Clearly explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments given
  • Client Education and Support
    • Provide clients with information on self-care techniques and exercises to promote relaxation and reduce pain
    • Offer guidance on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevent future injuries
Requirements
  • Certification and Education
    • Registration with a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists
    • Completion of a recognized massage therapy program
  • Experience and Skills
    • Experience working in a healthcare setting an asset
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
