Sales/Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales/Systems Engineer to join our team at Marler & Associates Search. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in customer meetings and discussions to understand their business needs and identify opportunities to enhance our clients' solutions.
  2. Develop POC test configurations based on requirements agreed upon with the prospect.
  3. Manage the POC staging time to allow for test plan refinement, configuration adjustments, and resolution of any issues or questions that may arise during the testing period.
  4. Maintain expertise in all areas of our clients' platform through technical training.
  5. Assist in developing optimized proof-of-concept test configurations based on test plans submitted by account teams and available resources.
  6. Provide timely escalations regarding risks to success.
  7. Work cross-functionally with product and customer success organizations to ensure your customers' voice is heard.
  8. Achieve and maintain FSCA and FSCE certification in the selected technology area.
  9. Be motivated and wanting to work with networking technologies, enjoy hands-on testing, and customer interaction.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience with 8+ years of experience.
  2. Excellent hands-on lab work, excellent presentation and writing skills, ability to travel, and customer awareness skills.
  3. Experience working collaboratively with distributed teams.
  4. Ambitious learner and builder with strong customer focus and quality.
  5. Motivated to work with networking technologies, enjoy hands-on testing, and customer interaction.
  6. Experience taking requirements and incorporating best practices to provide the optimum user experience.
  7. Thrives in a high-paced, changing work environment.
  8. Flexible and desire to take on additional responsibilities.
  9. Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Experience working with large accounts.
