CB Canada is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring parts meet specifications and performing quality checks in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect parts for quality and report any issues to the lead hand or supervisor.
  • Ensure contamination escalation procedures are followed and parts are acceptable before stacking or filling production population bins.
  • Report malfunctioning dies and equipment to the Press Technician or Lead Hand immediately.
  • Perform quality checks as required in the ERP system and complete first-offs.
  • Assist with loading, unloading dies and rings from the press, including re-sets with the direction of the Press Technician or Lead Hand.
  • Assist the Press Technician with die changes as required.
  • Perform strip startups and press restarts when press faults occur under the direction of the Press Technician or Lead Hand.
  • Enter all relevant production data into the ERP system hourly, including day-by-hour boards.
  • Accurately record time, including time clock, job activities, and other data entry and instructions.
  • Attend all company-specified training as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times, adhering to the 5S concept.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the general scope of manufacturing.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing-related experience using presses or equivalent is an asset.
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude is an asset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are necessary.
