Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective setup of machinery, availability of necessary materials, and adherence to planned production timelines, yield targets, and customer requirements. Conduct essential checks on equipment, ingredients, packaging, and processing methods.
  • Engage in training initiatives related to food safety and HACCP standards, product quality expectations, and equipment/process technology.
  • Organize and oversee workforce allocation, ensuring equitable position rotation and compliance with job protocols. Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members and supervisors.
  • Facilitate training for new employees on processing techniques, product quality standards, safety measures, and hygiene practices.
  • Maintain precise production documentation.
  • Enhance operational efficiencies where feasible, reduce downtime through effective changeovers, address minor equipment malfunctions, and promptly report significant mechanical issues.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment while collaborating closely with utility handlers.
  • Contribute to the overall health and safety of yourself and your team. Ensure compliance with established policies as outlined in company guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Capable of lifting heavy items, including bags weighing up to 25kg.
  • Familiarity with food safety and HACCP principles.
  • Reliable with a strong attendance record.
  • Proficient mathematical skills and mechanical understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a valid forklift/hand truck certification.
