- Oversee the development of high-quality program initiatives that reflect the values of the YMCA.
- Ensure safety and supervision in compliance with provincial licensing regulations and standards.
- Manage the center according to the YMCA's child behavior management protocols.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with children, parents, educators, colleagues, and community partners.
- Engage actively with children aged 6-12 as a play companion and academic support.
- Assist in the execution of play-based educational activities, encompassing interactive play, literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional learning, creative arts, games, teamwork, physical activity, and sports.
- Contribute to community initiatives organized by the YMCA of Southern Interior BC.
- Exhibit an enthusiastic and positive demeanor.

- Possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in a relevant field, and/or ECE Assistant certification (considered an asset).
- Are seeking to gain experience in the education sector or are preparing for a career in teaching.

The YMCA's Commitment to Trust, Safety, and Equality: As a respected charitable organization, you can expect to receive exceptional services and safety training throughout your career with the YMCA. As part of your onboarding process, you will be required to:
- Provide three professional references (e.g., employer, supervisor, colleague, teacher, coach, etc.).
- Complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six months prior to your start date. The YMCA will provide the necessary instructions and paperwork.
