Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our team in Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, transactional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and file corporate documents with the Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada
- Prepare transactional documents, including incorporations, name changes, amalgamations, and dissolutions
- Coordinate extra-provincial registrations across Canada
- Prepare and file documents for partnerships, limited partnerships, business names, and other corporate entities
- Draft customized resolutions and related documentation for complex transactions
- Conduct minute book reviews and prepare documents to correct minute book deficiencies
- Conduct and review corporate searches
- Respond to inquiries from counsel and clients and handle day-to-day corporate matters
- Update and maintain corporate records and minute books
- Graduate of a recognized legal assistant/paralegal diploma program or equivalent
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a corporate paralegal role
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of Saskatchewan and Federal corporate legislation
- Solid knowledge of drafting transactional documents
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, professional team environment
- A team player who is willing to mentor juniors and collaborate with others on the team
- A client-focused approach and commitment to providing exceptional service to internal and external clients
- Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management software
