We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Bilingual Patient Reimbursement Specialist. This role entails managing specific projects or cases related to patient reimbursement and coordination within the organization. Working closely with the BioScript Pharmacy pharmacist, the Bilingual Patient Reimbursement Specialist will oversee patient cases and serve as the primary contact for assigned healthcare providers. This position also presents a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our reimbursement practices and to design workflows, with potential for career advancement as we expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all necessary actions to secure prescription drug coverage for patients;
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to optimize reimbursement solutions;
  • Handle documentation, submissions, and all related paperwork for insurance companies and public funding programs;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clinics;
  • Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding is secured;
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms;
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential;
  • Previous experience in a reimbursement role is highly advantageous;
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance sectors is beneficial;
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer or client service experience;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft and Google applications (Google apps, Word, Excel);
  • Professional and courteous telephone demeanor;
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple deadlines;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively;
  • Attention to detail is crucial;
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently;
  • Creative problem-solving skills;
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts covering the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM EST.
