Compensation Overview:

This is a commission-based role. Your earnings will be based on new business and renewals, with potential earnings as follows:

1st year - $45,000 to $65,000

2nd year - $75,000 to $90,000

3rd year - $85,000 to $125,000+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an outstanding sales experience from the initial contact
  • Develop leads through your personal network and strategic marketing efforts
  • Proactively pursue warm leads and referrals, employing effective sales techniques to close deals
  • Manage prospective client leads and deliver timely quotes
  • Accurately assess risks and advise clients on tailored insurance coverages
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling to meet all client insurance needs
  • Focus on building a quality book of business while maintaining strong retention rates
  • Comply with underwriting criteria established by broker partners
  • Participate in required Commercial Lines training sessions

Qualifications Required:

  • General Insurance Level 1 license from the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Commercial Lines Insurance is advantageous
  • Familiarity with insurance software (broker portals, customer management systems, etc.) is beneficial
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus
  • Experience in Personal Lines is preferred

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Commission-based
