Job Summary

The Government of the Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in providing advice on and participating in the development of new policies and corporate plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on policy development and implementation, ensuring alignment with the department's mandate and broader government interests.
  • Participate in the evaluation of policy, legislation, and strategic initiatives to ensure conformity with departmental and government objectives.
  • Communicate regularly with other government departments to ensure joint and coordinated positions on policy and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop departmental input into government-wide initiatives and participate in task teams to support coordinated efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and community groups.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, public relations, law, or a related field.
  • At least five years of broad professional experience in policy development and implementation, communications development, and evaluation of policy and/or legislation.
