Position Overview: As an Automation Controls Engineer at Brave Control Solutions Inc., you will collaborate with a dedicated team to create and implement automation strategies for manufacturing operations across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control system designs tailored to client specifications and operational needs.
  • Design and layout control panels, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Establish standard templates and guidelines for new control designs.
  • Oversee the installation and assembly of equipment to verify compliance with design standards.
  • Generate a Bill of Materials (BOM) for both panel and field components.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to assess hardware procurement timelines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant discipline (equivalent experience may be accepted).
  • Over 5 years of experience in control system design utilizing AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
  • Knowledge of JIC and IEC design layouts and symbols.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with various Network Architectures (Ethernet/ProfiNET, IOLink, DeviceNET/Profibus, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime during installation phases and to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high amperage cabinets exceeding 100A.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, water, and lubrication systems.
  • Proficiency in designing cable tray layouts and machine cabling/grounding.
  • Knowledge of macros and scripts to streamline design processes, such as batch renaming and set purging.
