We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineering Director to join our team at Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering Leadership: Oversee all engineering functions of the station, including planning of future equipment installations, requirements, and budgetary recommendations.
- Master Control Operations: Oversee Master Control Operators to ensure seamless broadcast operations.
- Staff Management: Manage training and hiring processes for engineering staff, promoting a positive and constructive work environment.
- Technical Maintenance: Supervise maintenance of computer software, hardware, and local area network applications, ensuring software license compliance and up-to-date versions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Supervise and/or perform transmitter maintenance, as well as preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast electronic equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work with Corporate leadership to ensure security and FCC compliance, upholding all regulatory requirements.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in broadcast electrical system and equipment maintenance.
- Management Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a management role, with a proven track record of success.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in evaluating, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining broadcast equipment and IT systems.
- Education: A technical degree in electronics or a related field, or an equivalent of work and educational experience.
- Certifications: SBE certification and A+ certification is preferred.
