The Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor Technician will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Technician/Mechanics, Trailer Technician/Mechanics and Apprentices to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.

We are devoted to your career advancement as a skilled technician and support national tractor and trailer apprentice certification programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair problems found during inspections
  • Prescribe the correct remedial action
  • Work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Technician/Mechanics, Trailer Technician/Mechanics and Apprentices
  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet
  • Support national tractor and trailer apprentice certification programs
  • Participate in the Technician Safety Award Program

Requirements:

  • A Red Seal Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor Technician
  • Experience working on tractors and trailers as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic
  • Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
  • Previous experience and qualification to perform Safeties
  • Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
  • Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship
  • Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry)
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Valid BC Driver's License
