We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Analysis & Treasury team. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering analytical support to Crombie's Financial Analysis and Treasury division. This position offers significant exposure across various business lines and is tasked with providing analytical assistance for the financial and operational dimensions of Crombie REIT. The responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include:
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including management, to comprehend business goals and align them with financial and operational strategies.
- Monitoring cash flow and maintaining regular communication with financial institutions to ensure adequate funding.
- Acting as the primary liaison for lenders during annual mortgage evaluations and due diligence processes.
- Contributing to cash flow forecasting and preparing presentations for the board, senior management, and other essential stakeholders.
- Assisting in capital tracking and treasury functions, as well as supporting debt and equity financing efforts.
- Offering strategic financial and analytical support to enhance value creation for Crombie REIT.
- Organizing and preparing necessary reports.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and reporting, including pro formas, capital market assessments, and peer comparisons.
- Performing strategic insight research and analysis as needed.
- Researching and supporting the monitoring and analysis of various Crombie KPIs, ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of relevant databases and reports.
- Collaborating in the collection of information and drafting of finance and disclosure materials, including quarterly reports and annual information forms.
- Assisting in the preparation of departmental documents and presentations.
- Supporting other departmental functions as required.
- Engaging with all organizational levels to foster a safe and respectful workplace.
- Undertaking special projects and tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a comparable role. They should be pursuing or have obtained their CFA, CBV, or CPA designation. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with experience in dynamic, cross-functional environments. They are adept at managing complex workloads and prioritizing tasks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and online research tools is required, coupled with strong interpersonal communication skills, both informal and formal. A solid understanding of real estate, capital markets, market drivers, and economic trends is crucial for success in this position. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
