About the Program:
The LAWS program, established in collaboration with Osgoode Hall Law School, offers a unique cross-disciplinary approach to legal education, aiming to inspire students to pursue higher education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and nurturing partnerships with external organizations essential to the program's success.
- Facilitating educational seminars and workshops for students.
- Creating promotional materials to enhance program visibility and outreach.
- Conducting thorough evaluations to guide program development and improvement.
- Managing content on both digital platforms and printed resources.
- Coordinating logistical arrangements for events and activities.
- Overseeing the contributions of volunteers in specific tasks.
- Providing guidance and support to stakeholders in a non-supervisory capacity.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or a combination of relevant experience.
- A minimum of four years' experience in project coordination within academic, public interest, or legal environments.
- Experience engaging with youth, particularly in educational or community outreach contexts.
- Proven ability to develop and lead educational workshops.
- Experience in creating promotional content, including newsletters.
- Background in training and managing volunteers.
- Familiarity with contemporary legal issues and trends.
- Understanding of the legal profession and community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work directly in high school settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation abilities.
- Capacity to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to community outreach and justice initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is considered an asset.
